Trillian 7.0 for Web is now available, and it's a big one. The web app speaks your language, it has a dark theme, and a lot more of what people send you opens right inside your chats. We squashed a good number of bugs along the way, too.
Trillian, in your language
Pick one of 39 languages in Settings and most of the app switches over right away. You can even choose it on the sign-in screen before you've signed in, along with light or dark.
Emoji reactions Pro
Sometimes a thumbs up says it all. React to any message from a quick picker instead of typing a reply, and see a list of everyone who reacted.
Dark mode is here Pro
Night owls, this one's for you. Choose light, dark, or follow your system setting, then pick an accent color to go with it.
Link previews
YouTube links now show the video's title, X posts show who posted them and when, and links to pictures on other sites show the picture itself.
Prefer a calmer chat? Set previews to show only when you click, or turn them off, and hide any single preview from its right-click menu.
Code and spreadsheets, right in your chat
Someone sent you a CSV? Trillian opens code, CSV, and text files in its own viewer, with code highlighted and CSVs laid out as a table. It works the other way too: paste a big block of text and it goes out as a text file, instead of a message that takes over everyone's screen.
A better image viewer
Zoom in and pan around any picture, or open a grid of the other photos sent with it. From the viewer you can download a picture, copy it, or open it in a new tab. Pictures load a quick preview first and sharpen as the full image arrives, so there's something to look at right away.
Send a whole batch of files
Sending files got easier as well. Attach up to ten at once, put them in order, and drop any one before you send. Several pictures sent together arrive as an image cluster you can flick through.
Settings that follow you
Your settings now follow you from one computer to the next, and they're sorted into Appearance, Contact List, Chat Windows, Notifications, and History. Private chats and channels get their own notification settings, and urgent messages Enterprise always get through, whatever those settings say.
A few small touches
History's scrollbar now shows dates as you drag, so you can jump straight to any day. The message box grows as you type, and you can see who you've blocked and unblock them. Slash commands autocomplete as you type, including your organization's bots Business, text snippets Business expand when you type them, and your organization's custom emoji Business work in chats.
For administrators Business
Data loss prevention rules can now redact or delete a message, and you can test a rule live on a sample message before you turn it on.
Custom emoji can be uploaded, and a picture with transparent borders gets a Trim button. Bots get a Bot tag in the admin area's member lists and a BOT label on their messages.
Two-factor policies Enterprise can require an authentication app, and audit logs Enterprise show which emoji a reaction used.
