Using @mentions

To get the attention of a member in a busy group chat, you can use @mentions. Simply type a person's username after the @ sign, e.g. @username, and the message will be highlighted in a special way for the intended recipient:

	Use the special @all mention to tag everyone inside of a group chat for important messages that you want everyone to see.

	@mentions override the muted status of a window, so if someone has muted a busy group chat you can still get their attention using @mentions.

	@mentions do not override the do not disturb status, so someone who wishes not to be disturbed will not be notified of your @mention.
